Hello all! This is Crouton
I haven't seen the likes of y'uns around here in awhile. Anyway, we have been very busy this whole entire year. The record is done, and I'll have to say that I'm very very pleased with it, and I'm excited about what it is. I'll also say that I've been a nerd, and it's been on my computer...every little chance I get, I listen to it.
Which brings me to my next point. We got a couple of reviews the other day, and they were fairly good. Except for one thing. There's a a song on our record that I think is absolutely amazing, and none of the reviewers said anything about it. They skipped over it, but I think it's going to be one of the songs that everybody likes. I hope it's still on the album. Reviews are always funny to me because it's somebody making money by critiquing your art. They probably make more money critiquing it than we do recording it...just saying. It is a job I guess I could be pretty good at, I must say. I can critique a thing or two here or there. I critique Xanadu all the time.
We're also on Warped Tour. It's very sweaty and hot. There's always those days where you wake up and you have to load in, and it's so hot that you're like, "Well, I'll probably take off my shirt because it's hot." But there's also something psychological for me-I rarely take my shirt off because I always have a tank-top-tan.
So when you guys come out on Warped Tour, you'll see my arms and think, "Man, Crouton's tan." It's just my arms and face. Everything else is white. I guess if I took my shirt off, it would look like I was wearing a shirt. With my really white physique. Or, I guess I could do what Soul Glow did at Chap Stique's wedding and use a fake tanner. He looked very Paris. I wonder if those oils are bad for your skin. I don't know, I guess that's a Xanadu question. I'll have to ask him, because he seems to know everything. Or I guess I could ask the reviewers of the record.
But I guess I'll just keep on rocking my tank top tan.
Dance or Die!
Can't wait till the new album! Hope to see you soon back in Grand Rapids this fall!?
