A teen girl sextet from Osaka, ORESKABAND is taking Japanese pop music scene by storm with their "entertainment ska rock"! ORESKABAND was formed in 2003 by middle school classmates Ikasu, Tomi, Tae-san, Saki, Moriko, and Leader, who started playing at local clubs and quickly built a following with their energetic live shows and colorful personalities. From performing at local venues, ORESKABAND has gone on to national recognition; in an exceptional move for a new artist, the band and their song "Hana no Ska Dance" appeared in the TV commercial for POCKY, a very popular Japanese candy. ORESKABAND is quickly gaining fans in the U.S. now through a music tour that included the trendsetting SXSW music festival.
